Why did you become a homewares designer?

Originally I went in to merchandising but after having a tour around Liberty of London’s design studio whilst I was a merchandising intern there I had to get back in to a creative career. Homeware has always been my passion. Even as a child I used to insist on decorating my own bedroom!

How long have you been in this profession?

6 years. I’ve always worked in homeware as a designer. I originally started off freelance and eventually started working at Arthouse in 2019.

What do they like about creating wallpapers?

I love the way you can transform a room with wallpaper. It’s impactful and can really set the tone in any space. Because it’s usually going to fill such a large area you really need to think about the mood you’re trying to create from the outset. Bold and exciting or subtle and calming, I just love seeing the final results!

What is your preferred style?

I love creating bold wallpaper that really catches the eye. I usually prefer designing abstract and tropical designs and really enjoy experimenting with colour.
